Assign and remove roles

Assign and remove roles from users in Limble

Written by Christy Umberger

After you create a user profile, you can assign additional roles to a user.

Since roles are assigned by site, you can customize a user’s level of access based on the work they do at each site.

Assign a new role

  1. Go to Operations > Configuration center > Users and access control > Manage users.

  2. Click the three-dot icon to the right of the user's name.

  3. Select Manage roles.

  4. Select the Add new role tab.

  5. Click into the Role field to select additional roles from the dropdown.

  6. Select the name of your site.

  7. Click Add role.

Important to know: If you are changing a user’s role, such as technician to manager, add the new role first before removing the old role.

If a user only has one role, and you remove it first, their current task assignments at that location will be lost and moved to Unassigned.

Assign super user

Super users are also known as administrators because they have access to every feature in Limble.

Super user permissions are assigned separately from custom or default roles.

  1. From the Manage users page, click a user's name to open their profile in a side window.

  2. In the side window, scroll down and select the Make super user checkbox.

Only super users can add super users. If your account does not have a super user, reach out to our support team.

Remove a role

  1. From the Manage users page, click the three-dot icon to the right of the user's name.

  2. Select Manage roles.

  3. From the Existing roles tab, click the trash can icon next to the role you’d like to remove.

  4. Click Done.
